Teaching Assistant Opportunities (EYFS 1:1 Support)

Contract: Part-time (2 days or 4 days per week)

Are you passionate about giving children the best start in their educational journey? At our school, we place children firmly at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our EYFS team, providing vital 1:1 support to help our pupils thrive.
We have two 1:1 support positions available within our Early Years setting. We are flexible in how we fill these roles and welcome applications for either:
Two individuals working 2 days per week each.OR
One individual working 4 days per week.
The specific support schedules are:
Child 1: Support required on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Child 2: Support required on Thursdays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
We are looking for a practitioner who understands that Early Years is about more than just supervision-it's about facilitating growth. You will be expected to:
Support Continuous Provision: Actively engage with children within the indoor and outdoor environments, using your presence to spark interest and extend their play into meaningful learning opportunities.
Nurture Development: Provide a warm, secure, and nurturing presence that allows children with individual needs to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
Creative Learning: Use your imagination to adapt activities on the fly, ensuring that the "state-of-the-art" facilities we offer are used to their full potential to inspire curiosity.
Individual Progress: Work closely with the class teacher to monitor the development of your 1:1 child, ensuring they are mastering the basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics through a blend of targeted support and creative play.
Ideally, you will have:
Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification.
EYFS Expertise: A deep understanding of the EYFS framework and how to support individual learning journeys within a busy classroom.
Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for child-led learning and the ability to turn a simple moment into a "lightbulb" learning experience.
