Field-Based Crane Technician
Location: Covering Southern England
Salary: £27,885 – £42,921 per annum (DOE)
OTE: £33,000 - £48,000
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00
Overtime: Regular early starts available + optional Saturdays | Paid at 1.5x rate
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and reliable Field-Based Crane Technician to join a well-established commercial engineering company. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the freedom of working independently, with full van support, and the variety of travelling across Southern England to service and repair mobile cranes.

Whether you're time-served or have relevant experience in hydraulics and electrics, this role offers a stable environment with overtime opportunities and dedicated product training.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing on mobile cranes
Responding to crane breakdowns on customer sites across Southern England
Working independently and managing your own daily schedule
Using your knowledge of electrics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems to deliver safe and effective repairs
Completing service reports and following company proceduresWhat You’ll Need

Good base knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and crane operations
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication and organisational skills
Methodical, punctual, and deadline-driven
A genuine interest in crane systems and mobile engineeringProduct training on crane systems (including Hiab) is provided.
