Production Assembly Operator
What Will This Person Be Doing?
Assemble and solder surface mount components onto printed circuit boards (PCB).
Use hand tools and soldering irons to perform fine, detailed work with consistency and accuracy.
Ensure high-quality solder joints and consistent workmanship.
Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Perform basic testing or assist in environmental testing where needed (e.g. high-temp or high-shock conditions).
Follow documented assembly procedures and quality standards at all times.
Read and follow assembly drawings, BOMs (bills of materials), and work instructions.
Handle delicate or sensitive electroniccomponents with care.
Keep parts organised and workstations clean and efficient.
Essential Skills
Excellent manual dexterity
Attention to detail
Competency in surface mount soldering
Consistency and quality in soldering (Preferably to a J-Standard equivalent
Previous experience as a Production Assembly Operator
Local to the office
Desirable Skills
Enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
Experience working with products exposed to high temperature, vibration, or shockenvironments
Familiarity with environmental testing
