About the Role:
As a PCB Layout Technical Assistant, you'll support the full PCB design lifecycle - from approved schematics to production-ready data packs. Working in a fast-paced, high-integrity environment, you'll collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver layouts that meet exacting electrical, mechanical, and manufacturability standards.
Key responsibilities
Help lead the design and development efforts for new equipment, using your expertise to craft innovative solutions that meet our high standards for quality and performance.
Contribute to the improvement of existing products by providing insightful modifications and updates, thereby ensuring our offerings remain at the forefront of technology.
Create comprehensive technical specifications, conduct thorough analysis, and define rigorous testing requirements that underpin the design process.
Offer hands-on support during the build process, ensuring that your designs are translated into functional equipment accurately.
Lead the charge in system integration, meticulously testing and accepting the equipment to guarantee its reliability and efficacy.
Foster strong collaborations with suppliers and sub-contractors, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure the seamless progression of projects.
Qualifications / Skills required
A minimum of a HND in electrical engineering is required,
Demonstrate a solid understanding of processes and techniques pertinent to high integrity design
Possess a broad knowledge of various engineering disciplines, including systems and mechanical engineering
Exhibit strong communication skills
Showcase a profound understanding of best practices in design lifecycle processes, from gated design phases to design reviews, guaranteeing the highest quality outcomes.
Display confidence in customer-facing interactions, readily delivering presentations and engaging with clients to showcase the value of our solutions and products
Desirable:
Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
