Entry-Level Applications Engineer – CNC Machine Tools

£35,000–£45,000 + Company Car + Package

Midlands-Based (UK-Wide Travel)

Are you a skilled CNC machinist or programmer ready to take the next step in your career?

We’re working with a well-established machine tool business looking to recruit an entry-level Applications Engineer. This is a rare opportunity to move off the shop floor and into a customer-facing role, with full training provided on the applications side of the job.

The Role:

* Support customers across the UK with the installation, programming, and optimisation of multi-axis CNC lathes and mills

* Carry out both online and offline programming, including the use of CAD/CAM software

* Deliver on-site support, demonstrations, and training

* Work with a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, medical, and general subcontracting

* Develop technical solutions that help customers improve their machining processes

The Candidate:

* Time-served or apprentice-trained CNC machinist

* Competent in both online and offline programming of CNC lathes and/or mills

* Comfortable using CAD/CAM software to create and modify programs

* Willing to travel UK-wide (occasional nights away)

* Full UK driving licence (no more than 3 points)

* Professional, reliable, and keen to develop new skills
