SEN Support Assistant- SEPTEMBER- L21

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Learning Support Assistant to join an exceptional SEN Secondary School in Crosby, L21. This is a full time role starting in September. The students are aged 11-19 and have a mixture of ASD and ADHD.

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs.

This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

Support Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

* Support 1:1 with children with SEN
* Support with the children's behaviour in & outside the classroom.
* Provide general support for students with additional learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom
* Support students in developing skills for independent learning and personal growth.
* Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources and materials..
* Work closely with teachers to monitor and assess students' progress, offering feedback and suggestions where necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

* Must have recent/relevant experience working/volunteering with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
* Must have a passion for education
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
* Must have good behaviour management
