Our client is a leading aerospace manufacturer specialising in the assembly and testing of high-performance hydraulic pumps, motors, electrical generators, and critical flight control components. Their products are used across both civil and military fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Known for engineering excellence and reliability, they are a recognised leader in aerospace hydraulic systems.
Due to continued growth, the Bedhampton site is expanding its aerospace test team and is seeking skilled Test Technicians to support ongoing programmes.
Role Overview
As a Test Technician, you will be a key part of a fast-paced aerospace test environment, responsible for testing hydraulic motors, pumps, and mechanical valves for both civil and military aircraft applications. You will work to strict MAA and CAA standards, where safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential to ensure on-time delivery and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
Mounting and removing hydraulic components on test stands.
Operating pressure and fuel test rigs for mechanical valves.
Conducting internal and external leak checks.
Measuring and verifying torque requirements.
Monitoring pressure flow rates.
Carrying out shimming and adjustments to set cracking pressures.
Following detailed test procedures, technical drawings, and written instructions.
Accurately recording test results and performance parameters.
Completing all documentation, both manual and electronic.
Working in accordance with DESAR requirements.
Maintaining high standards of 5S and TPM.
Raising and understanding non-conformances via the non-conformance database.
Ensuring product integrity, safety, and quality at all times.Required Skills and Experience
Experience or strong knowledge of pressure and fuel testing of mechanical valves.
Understanding of hydraulic systems and test environments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and test specifications.
Experience checking flow rates, pressures, torque, and leak integrity.
Familiarity with shimming and mechanical adjustment techniques.
Knowledge of DESAR working practices.
Awareness of Lean manufacturing principles (5S, TPM).Preferred Skills
Aerospace or MOD background.
Experience testing hydro-mechanical products.
Exposure to rotating electrical machines (motors/generators).
Comfortable using computer-based systems and electronic records.Eligibility
