Job Opportunity: Barista
Location: Rochester

We are recruiting on behalf of an exciting new café looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate Barista to join the launch team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a creative, Instagram-worthy café serving brunch, pastries, light meals, and specialty coffee.

Role: Barista

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee, including espresso-based drinks, to a consistent standard.

*

Provide warm, friendly, and professional customer service, ensuring every guest has an excellent experience.

*

Assist with the preparation and service of food items, including pastries, brunch dishes, and light meals.

*

Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment at all times.

*

Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety are followed.

*

Handle takeaway orders and assist with outdoor/street food service during special events when required.

*

Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment.

*

Support opening and closing duties, including stock checks and cleaning tasks.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar hospitality role is essetial

*

A passion for coffee, food, and customer service.

*

Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.

*

Good communication and teamwork skills.

*

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum) or willingness to obtain one.

*

A positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.

Additional Information:

*

Café hours: 7 days a week, 8am–6pm, with occasional later shifts for special events or seasonal periods (e.g., Christmas). Hours may vary depending on demand.

*
