Sales Consultant

Working for an established, award-winning, travel company in York City Centre. A full time, permanent opportunity has become available to work within the customer service team as a Sales Consultant.

Working within a happy team, and for a company that rewards and values their staff; the purpose of the role is to talk to customers about their unique holidays, which extend across the world, over the telephone and occasionally face to face, whilst delivering a great level of customer service.

You will be handling all prebooking enquiries from customers or agents by telephone, email and face to face visits, maximising sales by advising customers about add on purchases that will boost the customers’ experiences and enhance the overall value of their experience.

Working to sales targets and KPIs you will be converting incoming enquiries to bookings.

If you have previous sales/conversion experienceobviously that would be great but if you have an outgoing personality and the following, we would love to hear from you:

· Previous sales experience including retail/office based or face to face

· The ability to talk on the telephone whilst navigating multiple applications on a computer is essential

· Have an engaging personality and drive to succeed in this type of position

· IT skills

The successful Sales Consultant will work shift patterns:

Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm

Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.30pm

Monday to Friday 11.30am-8.00pm

Saturday & Sunday 9.00am-5.00pm

*rotated shifts with days off within the week*

You will be expected to work some weekends. If you are working the11.30-8pm and Sunday 9am-5pm shifts, you will be able to work from home.

(VERY occasionally based on the needs of the business, you will work Monday to Friday 2.00pm - 10.00pm but this is very rare.)

Salary: Basic £23K with on target earnings min. £36K (uncapped)
