Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (SEN) who is looking to grow within a nurturing and professional environment.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work across the classroom supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will play a key role in helping them feel confident, included, and supported in their daily learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide classroom support and assist students with their individual learning plans

Help pupils remain focused, engaged, and involved in lessons

Use visual aids and simple communication techniques to support understanding

Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Support emotional wellbeing and promote social development

Requirements:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in education, care, or youth work settings)

A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn and respond to varying student needs

An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

What We Offer:

Daily pay between £90 and £100, depending on experience
