Role: Class 2 Driver (Internally known as Secure Collection Operative) 
Location: South Kirkby, WF9 3FD
Contract type: Permanent, full time
Salary: £35,242.82
Hours of work: 05:30 - 15:15 (Monday to Friday) 
 
We’re looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our team as a Secure Collection Operative. This is a hands-on role that combines driving with operational tasks, including collecting and handling confidential materials from client sites and ensuring their secure transport and processing.
The role involves a combination of driving, manual handling, and customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied working day and being out on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out vehicle checks at the start of each shift, completing defect sheets and reporting any issues
Drive Class 2 vehicles in full compliance with Driver Regulations, including proper tachograph use and hours of service
Load your vehicle with the necessary equipment and collection materials before leaving the depot
Review and understand all job sheets and route plans for the day
Attend client sites to collect confidential waste materials and ensure accurate records are kept using the PDA
Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed, with client sign-off and documentation returned at the end of the shift
Work either independently or with a driver’s assistant to complete collections efficiently and on schedule
Maintain the security of all materials throughout the collection processAbout You:

Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence – essential (No more than 6 points) 
Comfortable working in a physically demanding role, as the role invovles lifting heavy sacks and boxes
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
A professional, customer-focused approach with the ability to uphold confidentiality at all times
