A dynamic NHS organisation in London is looking for a Senior Employee Relations Case Advisor to play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting people practices across the Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to step into a high-impact role where you will manage complex ER cases, influence policy, and drive a restorative, values-based approach to people management.
About the Role:
As part of the Strategic Employee Relations team, you’ll work across directorates to provide expert advice, support early resolution of employee concerns, and coach line managers in best practice. You’ll liaise closely with staff networks, Occupational Health, EDI teams, and external legal advisors to ensure a proactive, legally compliant ER service.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a portfolio of ER cases, including sickness, disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues.

Coach managers in handling ER matters and facilitate briefing sessions on Trust policies and employment law.
*
Support restructuring, redeployment, and redundancy processes.
*
Work with unions and staff-side colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive employee experience.
*
Actively contribute to policy development and the Trust’s ambition to be an ER Centre of Excellence.
About You:
*
Level 5 CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) with strong ER background.
*
Skilled in handling complex employee relations cases and supporting stakeholders at all levels.
*
Confident communicator with excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
*
Up to date on UK employment law, ACAS guidelines, and best practice within unionised environments.
*
NHS experience and familiarity with Agenda for Change job evaluation processes are advantageous.
