SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant

£110 - £123 per day -  Salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications. 

Vision for Education are recruiting on behalf of a SEND school in Speke, who are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with children who require additional educational needs. This is a full-time, long-term role starting from September 2025 and could result in a permanent contract from the setting.  

The role

The successful Teaching Assistant will be working under the direction of the class teacher, and needs to be energetic, flexible, positive, and patient, with an ability to build strong working relationships with the student.

Duties will include:

Supporting the class teacher to deliver work in accordance with the National Curriculum
Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
Contributing to record keeping, liaising with parents and multidisciplinary teams and attending school trips/outings

Requirements

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, you will:

The successful Candidate would need to have Level 2 English and Maths
Someone who has worked with children, young people, or vulnerable adults in any capacity
Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Someone with great patience, drive, and determination
Someone looking to extend and expand their skillset
