As Project Manager, you will report directly to the Project Director and play a critical leadership role in the successful execution of electrical installations, cable pulling, prefabrication, and the installation of instrumentation. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and supporting site teams to deliver safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:
Champion and enforce a strong health and safety culture on-site
Ensure full compliance with all legal, company, and client HSE requirements
Lead safety toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
Drive corrective actions and support safety-related training initiatives
Organise, coordinate and motivate site teams
Support team competency, development, and performance management
Mentor apprentices and promote a respectful, inclusive workplace
Enforce discipline and support positive team dynamics and behaviour
Develop and implement effective workface plans and schedules
Coordinate activities to meet key project milestones and resolve interface issues
Identify material/tool availability and address planning deficiencies proactively
Liaise with other contractors and teams to avoid delays and disruptions
Ensure installations meet required standards and specifications
Oversee inspections and promptly resolve any quality issues
Drive continual improvement in work processes and productivity
Essential Requirements:
Degree / HND / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in a similar project or construction management role
CSCS Managers & Professionals or CCNSG Safety Passport
Professional Registration (e.g. IEng, CEng) desirable
Completion of CILM training preferred
Extensive knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installations
Strong planning, scheduling, and leadership capabilities
Ability to read technical drawings and understand specifications
Excellent communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
Competent in handling site admin and using relevant project software/tools
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working within nuclear or large-scale energy infrastructure projects
Familiarity with NEC contracts and construction management systems
BPSS or ability to obtain security vetting
IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications
Salary and benefits include:
£80,000 - £90,000 per annum
