Job Title: Mould Tool Finisher

Location: Leicester

Hourly Rate: up to £17.00 per hour

Shift: Days

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Mould Tool Polisher to join their manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for Assembly/disassembly of mould tools, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual grinding and milling operations with precision.
Fit inserts and align shut-off surfaces between mould tool halves.
Assemble and disassemble mould tools as required.
Polish tooling inserts to meet high-quality finish standards.
Drill cooling channels into mould plates according to specifications.
Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

Solid understanding of safe operation of toolroom machinery and equipment.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of pride in craftsmanship.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a toolmaking or similar precision manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to work on a variety of projects as priorities shift.
Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D engineering drawings is preferred.
Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial test indicators.
Strong focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Good physical endurance and excellent manual dexterity.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting.
Capable of working independently as well as contributing effectively within a team environment.
