The Opportunity:

We're a key player in the defence sector, supporting complex, high-impact projects that protect national interests. As part of our expanding Project Control function, we're looking for driven and detail-oriented Project Planners to join our team. Whether you're early in your project planning journey or a seasoned expert, we have roles that match various levels of experience.

You'll join a collaborative environment where your development is supported, and your voice is valued.

Your Role Will Involve:

Project Health Reviews: Validate project assessments, highlight risks, and ensure issues are escalated appropriately
Schedule Assessment: Review and refine project-level schedules to ensure they meet planning principles
Integrated Baseline Management: Develop and maintain integrated baselines that align with delivery milestones
Cost Forecasting: Validate cost-to-go forecasts and evaluate outliers to support Estimate at Completion (EAC)
Risk Management: Lead Schedule Risk Analysis across projects
New Business Support: Contribute to bids by embedding sound project management practices from the outset

What You'll Bring:

Hands-on experience in project planning, from detailed scheduling to milestone tracking
Understanding of WBS/CBS/OBS structures
Confidence working with project data: cost, schedule, and resource metrics
Ability to carry out SRA, Critical Path Analysis, and EVM
A problem-solving mindset with a focus on root cause and corrective action
Familiarity with tools such as Primavera, SAP, ARM, or Oracle Unifier
Experience in baseline management and change control
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
A sense of accountability and ownership of reporting quality
The ability to manage multiple demands and work under pressure

Desirable but Not Essential:

Experience with Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Forecast Cost reviews
What-If analysis and Risk & Opportunity tracking
Knowledge of resource-loaded scheduling
