What will this person be doing?Electrical:
The successful candidate will responsible for completing the innovation teams electrical designs, functional design specifications, factory, site, and software testing across a range of HV projects. The successful candidate will need to have vast experience within power systems design but can have exposure to a range of industries. The candidate will also be reviewing documentation from other engineers, supporting junior engineers development and liaising with cross functional teams and 3rd party contractors.
The candidate may need to travel from time to time. Usually around once per quarter. Could be UK or international (China, France, London etc..).
SkillsElectrical:
Proven experience in electrical design engineering
Vast exposure to power systems
Autocad, Asys, C/C++ and Modbus would be beneficial but other design packages are welcome
Knowledge and exposure of ISO standards
Experience working with industrial networking protocols including Ethernet, Profibus
HV experience is essential
Good understanding of motors, switching devices and electrical systems
Exposure to testing in the factory or on site
Positive attitude, self-starter
Able to work as a team and independently
Able to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders
Working hours37.5 hours per week. Core hours are 9am-3pm, 3.5 hours worked on a Friday
