Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £45,500 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on/4 off (rotating days and nights)

About the Role
Join a leading FMCG company in Aberdeen as a Maintenance Engineer, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities. Reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager, you’ll maintain machinery and infrastructure to uphold efficiency, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and buildings to minimise downtime.

* Respond promptly to breakdown repairs, prioritising safety and operational continuity.

* Oversee external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

* Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and inventory.

* Participate in an on-call rota to address urgent issues outside standard hours.

* Adhere to strict health and safety protocols and contribute to a culture of compliance.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or similar industries.

* Strong mechanical/electrical skills with expertise in preventative maintenance.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH, PUWER).

* Ability to manage stock control, compile reports, and work collaboratively.

* Flexibility to work a 4 on/4 off shift pattern (rotating days and nights).
