Roles and Responsibilities:
* Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
* Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across KS3–KS5 that ignite passion for music and performance
* Inspire students to explore composition, performance and music theory with creativity and confidence
* Organise and lead musical events, concerts and extra-curricular clubs such as choir, orchestra or band
* Foster a positive and energetic classroom environment that celebrates talent and teamwork
* Encourage self-expression and critical listening through diverse musical traditions and styles
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback to help every learner succeed
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills following the school’s behaviour policy
* Work in partnership with parents/carers, ensuring open, respectful and timely communication to celebrate success and address concerns
* Engage in continuous professional learning, embracing feedback and contribute to departmental excellence
