The Role

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to foster a love of music, helping students to develop their technical skills, creativity, and passion for performance. This role will also involve collaborating with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching across the department and supporting extra-curricular activities that showcase the musical talents of our students.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating an inspiring learning environment for students.

Fostering Musical Development: Encourage students to explore a variety of musical genres and techniques, developing their skills in performance, composition, and theory.

Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Music Department to share resources, ideas, and best practices, ensuring a consistent and high standard of teaching.

Extra-Curricular Activities: Lead and support music-related extracurricular activities, such as concerts, ensembles, and musical performances, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and further develop their musical skills.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: A degree in Music or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

Experience: Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a proven ability to engage and inspire students.

Passion for Music: A genuine passion for music and a desire to share this enthusiasm with students, helping them develop their skills and creativity.
