Overview

GI Pro are recruiting for a Pipe Fitter for a world leading company in steel, steel and automotive sector
Working a day shift Monday - Thursday 07:00-15:30 Friday 07:00-14:00
Paying between £15-£16/ph depending on experience
Overtime is available at enhanced rates of 1,5x
This is a full-time temporary-to-permanent role with immediate starts

The company - Supplier to the aerospace, steel and automotive

The role:

Interpreting and working from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine pipe layout and installation plans
Measure, cut thread and bend pipes using hand and power tools such as pipe threaders, cutters, and benders
Assemble and install piping systems, including valves, supports and hydraulic or pneumatic components
Perform TIG and ARC welding to join pipes and fittings when required
Conduct pressure and leak tests using hydrostatic or pneumatic testing equipment
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and automation technicians to integrate piping with machinery
Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes and company protocols

Candidate attributes

You will have experience with pipe threaders, cutters, and benders, as well as TIG, MIG and ARC welding
You must be able to pressure test gauges
