Position: Supply Teacher – Complex SEN
Location: Southampton (various SEN school sites across the city)
Start Date: September 2025
Working Pattern: Flexible supply – full-time and part-time options available
Daily Rate: From £130 per day based on 8.30- 3pm with no additional responsibilities. Pay will be to scale for full teaching positions.
Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit skilled and adaptable teachers to work on a supply basis within a range of complex SEN schools in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in specialist settings, support pupils with diverse needs, and enjoy the flexibility of supply teaching.
You’ll be working with learners with needs such as:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Non-verbal communication needs and physical disabilities
Essential Requirements:
UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
Experience working with SEN pupils, either in mainstream or specialist settings
A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Strong behaviour management and adaptability
Aged 20 or over
Desirable:
A full UK driving licence – some roles may require travel between school sites within the city

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
