Accounts Assistant - Manufacturing (Luton)
Join a leading manufacturing firm in Luton as a key Accounts Assistant, partnered with Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a crucial role in daily financial operations and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchase and sales ledgers (coding and processing).
* Handle purchase orders and non-PO invoice approvals.
* Maintain the financial asset register.
* Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and forecasting.
* Oversee the finance inbox.
* Assist with bank reconciliation and cash forecasting.
* Execute bi-weekly payment runs.
* Support payroll and other finance/office tasks.
* Maintain timesheet systems and Xero contacts.
* Provide cover for colleagues and handle ad hoc duties.
What you'll bring:
* Prior finance/accounts experience, ideally in manufacturing.
* Knowledge of Xero, ApprovalMax, or similar finance software.
* Understanding of VAT.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
* Strong time management and ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Position: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £30000 - £35000
