Howdens Joinery, the UK’s number one Trade Kitchen Supplier has an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Supply Systems to lead the strategic design, development, and delivery of technology applications across our supply chain.

In this senior leadership role, you will lead the Supply IT teams and the business to define the IT strategy and roadmap and act as the strategic link between the Information Systems and Supply Chain teams. Based at our 100-acre site in Howden you will be expected to work onsite at least 4 days per week with 1 from home.

What you’ll be doing

- Managing a team of IT Systems Managers responsible for Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain
- Define the IT strategy and roadmap and act as the strategic link between IT and the supply chain, ensuring technology initiatives align with business goals by translating needs, prioritising demand, and driving value through collaboration and informed decision-making.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies by recommending opportunities to enhance the organisation’s competitive advantage and operational efficiency.
- Working closely with our operations Director and other Key stakeholders across the business
- Be involved with and actively support in our exciting new £40m factory and warehouse expansion in Runcorn
- Understand and be able to address the challenges of integrating legacy systems, emerging technologies, and diverse project portfolios in a fast-paced, highly interconnected business environment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring clear communication and alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
- Identify and manage risks related to supply chain projects and ongoing support whilst ensuring solutions are delivered with minimal disruption to the business.
- Work closely with the wider teams to ensure seamless integration of applications, solutions, and systems with the underlying technology infrastructure.

What we need from you

- Demonstrable experience in an IT leadership role building and implementing complex solutions.
- Expertise in modern technology stacks, cloud platforms and enterprise systems ideally within a Manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of SAP supply chain modules, integration points, and customisation practices.
- Proven track record of partnering business functions across the supply chain, manufacturing, logistics and service functions
- The ability to deliver large-scale technology solutions and manage multi-million-pound budgets.
- Proven track record of partnering business functions across the supply chain, manufacturing and service functions.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience driving digital innovation and leading organisational change initiatives.
