Our client, a leading business in their field is seeking a Buyer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.
During an exciting period, our client is looking to add to their Purchasing team, seeking a Buyer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, where you will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of parts and materials in line with agreed stock levels and schedule agreements.
The successful candidate MUST have previous SAP experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Progress purchase orders to facilitate customer on-time delivery
* Manage stock levels
* Secure long-term agreements with both local and national suppliers
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Report on data and ensure internal systems are kept up to date
* Continually review and analyse purchasing agreements to ensure cost effectiveness
* Support in the budgeting, forecasting and oversight of finances within the procurement department
Key Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Purchasing / Procurement role
* Previous SAP experience is a MUST
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communicator, confident liaising with colleagues and clients of all levels
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
* Consistently work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
