In this key role, you'll provide high-quality financial and management accounting services, partnering with senior stakeholders and directorates to ensure accurate reporting, sound decision-making, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver timely and effective management accounting services and reports
Partner with internal directorates to support financial decision-making
Provide professional financial advice and identify areas for improvement
Support and enhance finance processes, systems, and compliance
Produce monthly management accounts, monitoring reports and statutory returns
Assist with year-end processes and external audits
Train and guide stakeholders on financial procedures and systems
Work closely with senior stakeholders and external partnersRequired Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:
Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
Excellent communication, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
Working knowledge of public sector finance, regulations, and governanceBenefits:
