Candour Talent are recruiting a Test Engineer for their client based in Newport.

* Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time

* Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Excellent opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Newport. The successful candidate will have electronics hardware expertise and PCB / HLA test engineering experience and will play a crucial role in the NPI process.

The Role:

* Support and maintain production test equipment for functional testing.

* Contribute to new product introductions, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production ensuring customer specifications are met.

* Generate and update comprehensive test instructions for various products.

* Provide training and guidance to Test Technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices.

* Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and implement required changes to test processes and equipment.

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electronic hardware testing.

* Work with electronic test equipment (hardware and software) to ensure quality standards are met

The Ideal Candidate:

* Strong understanding of electronics, with hands-on experience in hardware testing.

* Proven experience in testing PCB and High-Level Assembly (HLA) components.

* Knowledge of both hardware and software for electronic testing is essential.

* Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand is highly desirable.

* A minimum of an HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or at least 5 years of experience in electronics test engineering.

* Ability to collaborate with different teams, train technicians, and generate clear documentation.

* A strong motivation to succeed and develop both technically and professionally within the company.
