The primary purpose of the role will be completing month-end financial review through risk profiling and management of the balance sheet, review of manual journals (both IFRS and US GAAP) and to support the business in delivering the statutory and group audits and production of the statutory accounts. This role will be on a 13 month contract.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Own the external statutory audit process for all 9 companies by building strong relationships throughout the business and being the key point of contact with external auditors to ensure a timely submission of the statutory accounts.

2. Continuously monitor and improve the health of the balance sheet through audit level analysis to determine the risk exposure and required action plan. Support the month end process through local and consolidated journal review.

3. To review compliance with group corporate policies across all entities comprising UK Wholesale. Where gaps are identified, design pragmatic and commercially considered control improvements to ensure alignment.

4. Support the production of our statutory accounts for all 9 companies

5. Assisting with the completion of the group audit of our SOX framework and standard audit procedures

6. Providing local expertise and technical support, in conjunction with Group, for US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS matters; this will include reviewing accounting policies and writing accounting policy papers and technical support papers.

7. Ad-hoc duties and project work as directed by Financial Accounting Manager and Senior Finance Management.

We would value candidate with the following attributes:

* Audit background in a Top 20 practice (Smaller audit firms considered)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and educate

* Excellent planning and organisation skills required

* ACA/ACCA qualified

* Knowledge of current IFRS / UK GAAP / US GAAP

* Ability to deliver high quality output to tight deadlines
