About the Role:
One of my local government clients is seeking a Weighbridge Clerk. This is a key operational role based at one of the council’s waste disposal facilities, supporting the accurate and legal processing of waste transfer activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate a computerised weighbridge to record vehicle weights entering and exiting the site.
*
Accurately organise and file documentation, including legal Waste Transfer and Consignment Notes.
*
Ensure all vehicles meet legal and procedural requirements prior to site access.
*
Coordinate with on-site staff to maintain a smooth operational flow.
*
Process card payments for waste disposal, as required.
*
Monitor and enforce weighbridge safety and compliance procedures.
*
Report any equipment issues or stock shortages to the site supervisor in a timely manner.
Candidate Requirements:
*
Previous experience in a weighbridge or waste site environment is highly desirable.
*
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
*
Confident in dealing with members of the public and internal teams.
*
Comfortable working in an outdoor or semi-industrial environment.
*
IT literate – experience with weighbridge or similar logging systems preferred.
*
Must be available for full-time afternoon shifts.
