Job Title: One-to-One Teaching Assistant
Location: Carnforth
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £15 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive school community in Carnforth. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's education and development. The role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with additional learning needs. Ideally the candidate is to be Team Teach trained.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with specific learning needs, ensuring they can access the full curriculum.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff members to plan and deliver personalised learning activities.
Monitor and report on the pupil's progress, adapting strategies as needed in consultation with the SENCO and teaching team.
Assist with personal care, mobility, or behaviour management, where appropriate.
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Support classroom routines, transitions, and school-wide activities.

Requirements:

Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is highly desirable.
A collaborative, flexible attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and suitable references.
