A leading specialist SEN school in Cheltenham, graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, is seeking a creative and patient Art Teacher to begin as soon as possible or from September. The school provides an exceptional education for students aged 11–18 with a range of complex needs, including ASD, moderate learning difficulties, and SEMH needs.
As Art Teacher, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of leading Entry Level and Functional Skills qualifications. Lessons are designed to support emotional regulation, fine motor skills, and self-expression, and you will work closely with therapists and support staff to adapt your curriculum accordingly.
Class sizes are small, with high adult-to-student ratios and excellent behaviour support. Art is an essential part of the school’s therapeutic and academic approach, and your lessons will make a meaningful impact on students’ confidence, communication and creativity.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for the arts with a commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice in a school that is both ambitious and compassionate
