Salary: £14.36 - £16.04 dependant on pay type (PAYE or Umbrella)

Prospero Teaching is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a welcoming education setting in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for staff and pupils.

Role Overview

As the caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the premises. Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining the security and safety of the site.
Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
Managing cleaning schedules and ensuring high standards of hygiene.
Monitoring heating, lighting, and other facilities.
Supporting with deliveries and site access for contractors.
Responding promptly to any site-related issues.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role (education setting preferred).
Practical skills for basic repairs and maintenance.
Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
