Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 p/a
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Location: Commutable from Brighton, Hailsham, Worthing, Burgess Hill, Crawley, Shoreham-By-Sea and surrounding areas.

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to work within a manufacturing organisation based near the south coast. You will benefit from joining this very friendly and loyal team of Maintenance Engineers who work closely together to support a fast-paced environment.
Working within this knowledgeable team, the Maintenance Engineer will have good opportunities for development in the future, as well as support from a very experienced engineering team working with some very interesting products.
It is a multi-skilled environment with an emphasis on Mechanical.

Responsibilities
Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the production facility.
Your main and primary role is supporting all production machinery. This includes combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems. Also working through planned preventative maintenance and undertaking project work too such as new installations etc.
Requirements
Maintenance or Service Engineer background in a manufacturing or production environment.
Proven hands-on maintenance experience, within a multi-skilled capacity.
Have good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
Are heavily mechanically biased with some electrical experience would be ideal.
Good troubleshooting & fault-finding skills.
Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
Proactive, self-starter work attitude and can be flexible and able to give & take on start & finish times when necessary.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions and the Health and Safety manual & relevant engineering standards
