Job Description:

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join a major substation construction project based in Rochdale. This long-term position offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile energy infrastructure scheme, supporting the delivery of civil engineering works and coordinating with multiple trades on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying for foundations, drainage, ducting, and access roads

*

Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring works are delivered to specification

*

Supporting the site management team with planning, progress tracking, and QA

*

Managing and maintaining as-built records, ITPs, and relevant documentation

*

Liaising with subcontractors and assisting in resolving technical queries

*

Promoting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental compliance

Requirements:

*

Civil engineering background with experience on substation or energy infrastructure projects

*

Competent in the use of GPS and total station equipment (Leica or Trimble)

*

CSCS card (essential)

*

SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)

*

Experience working with National Grid standards or similar (preferred)

*

Right to work in the UK

Location: Rochdale

Duration: 9 months (potential extension)

Rate: £350 – £370 per day (LTD / CIS)
