TeacherActive are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary School in East Birmingham, who are seeking a Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to take full ownership of a KS2 class, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils during a key stage of their academic development.

The Role:

The successful candidate will take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher, including:

Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Year 4 lessons in line with the National Curriculum

Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress

Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leadership

Communicating effectively with parents and carers where required

‍ The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has previous experience teaching Year 4 (desirable but not essential)

Is confident planning and delivering lessons independently

Is happy to work through TeacherActive and be paid via PAYE

Is organised, proactive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

Is an ECT or experienced teacher seeking a full-time KS2 opportunity

✅ Compliance Requirements:

A DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive

Ability to provide two professional references, including at least one recent school-based reference
