Job Description:
A welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Northampton is seeking a committed and enthusiastic RE & Citizenship Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher with a passion for Religious Education and Citizenship to inspire and engage students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in RE and Citizenship.
Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Encourage critical thinking and respectful discussion on religious and societal topics.
Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively.
Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
Strong subject knowledge and UK classroom experience in RE and/or Citizenship.
A valid Enhanced DBS, ideally registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
A positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic.
