Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with a range of Birmingham based primary schools to provide skilled and qualified Full Time SEN support staff to work with children with a variety of needs. If you have a background in SEN or schools support roles and are looking for your next opportunity, we would be keen to speak with you about these roles.

Location: Various roles across Birmingham

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support to students from EYFS to year 6 both in class and within designated break out spaces. In some instances, you may be required to work specifically within a schools dedicated SEN resource base.
Work towards individual goals of each student in line with their IEP/EHCP
Provide detailed feedback and handover to the class teacher and SENCO when required
Effectively manage behaviour and implement de-escalation strategies
For some roles it may be required to provide personal care for feeding and toileting - this is not relevant to all roles

Requirements:

You must have experience of working with and supporting SEN pupils in either a school, youth work or care setting.
You must have UK based school based experience
Ideally hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent
