Recruit4staff are representing a well-established gastropub operator in their search for a Head Chef to work at their well established pub in Halifax

What are client is offering the successful Head Chef:

Pay: £36,000pa
Hours of Work: 45 hour contract - hours will vary on a rota basis 
Duration: Permanent

Job Role:

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and stock management.
Manage kitchen budgets, including food cost control, supplier negotiations, and waste reduction strategies.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and efficient service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with food safety regulations and health inspections.
Monitor portion control and presentation to maintain brand standards and customer satisfaction.
Be initiative to suggest ways to improve food sales and performance within the pub. Increasing the number of daily covers
What our client is looking for in the successful Head Chef:

Previous experience working as a head chef - ESSENTIAL 
Experience of running a busy kitchen - ESSENTIAL
Food Hygiene Certificate - ESSENTIAL
Formal culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) - DESIRABLE
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen.
Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Commutable From: Halifax / Brighouse / Elland / Ripponden
