A dynamic and inclusive 11–16 school located just outside Gloucester is seeking a Design Technology Teacher for September 2025. This full-time role is best suited to a teacher with a passion for hands-on, practical learning and the ability to teach Product Design and/or Engineering pathways.

The school has invested significantly in its DT facilities, including a CAD suite, 3D printers, and a well-equipped workshop, and is looking for someone to inspire students to think creatively and solve real-world problems.

Role Responsibilities:

Teach DT across KS3 and GCSE Product Design (AQA)

*

Lead engaging, project-based learning using both traditional and digital techniques

*

Maintain a safe and inspiring workshop environment

*

Support STEM clubs, competitions, and partnerships with local employers

*

Work collaboratively to develop new schemes of work and design challenges

Candidate Profile:

*

Relevant DT or Engineering degree + PGCE and QTS

*

Confident with practical teaching and use of CAD/CAM software

*

Creative, organised, and passionate about student progress

*

Open to ECTs with relevant subject specialism
