Child Protection Chair
Location: Nottinghamshire
Rate: £tbc £40+

Details:
A full time experienced Child Protection Chair is required for an immediate start. The role will entail:
-Chairing child protection conferences and child exploitation meetings (where the risk level necessitates CPC oversight and planning) and other complex special circumstances meetings on occasion
-Preparing for meetings through reading of all relevant documentation
-Making decisions about child protection plans starting and ending, based on sound professional judgement and using evidence based decision making
-Meeting with children and families before meetings and during the life of their plans where appropriate - meeting with children may take place in their homes or schools where they do not attend the conference themselves
-Producing accurate summaries of meetings (no minute takers provided for most meetings) and setting out outline plans within required timescales and maintaining accurate and up to date records on children's files.
-Must be able to travel regularly several times a week to our North Nottinghamshire bases in Retford, Ollerton, Mansfield, Ashfield - most meetings will be held in person, there is scope for some meetings to be held on Teams.

Desirable:
-Knowledge and prior use of MOSAIC
-Prior experience of producing summaries of meetings without additional administrative support.

* DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work

* Social Work England registration

* Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.

* Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups

* Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.

* Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.

* Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
