Social Worker – Fostering team | Brighton | Part time 10 hrs per month | £35 per hour

We are seeking an experienced fostering supervising social worker to support a kinship foster carer based in Brighton. Although the carer is approved by Calderdale Council in West Yorkshire, the geographical distance necessitates the involvement of a local social worker who can provide consistent, face-to-face support.

Key responsibilities include:

Regular supervisory and unannounced visits
Attendance at meetings related to the children and fostering role
Report writing and documentation of visits
Completion of the annual review report for the foster carerThe role offers flexibility, with the possibility of conducting some visits during evenings or weekends to accommodate the family’s needs.
A named Practice Manager from Calderdale will provide regular virtual supervision and ongoing support to the successful candidate.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced fostering social worker with a strong understanding of kinship care. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be based in or near Brighton (BN1), as additional mileage expenses will not be covered.
