Arise Recruit has a number of Estimator vacancies in East Sussex.

Firstly we need a permanent Estimator for an up and coming Main Contractor in the Bexhill area. Potential candidates can come from a main contractor or sub contractor environment. This role is paying up to £55k pa.

In addition we would like to speak to self employed / freelance Estimators who have scope to offer 2+ days per week to a company in Brighton. This is a hybrid role and only occasional meetings in Brighton will be required. Suitable candidates will come from a main contractor or consultancy background. Day rates up to £350.

General Estimator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Review incoming tenders

*

Produce tender returns in accordance with the schedule produced

*

Chase tender responses and feedback regardless of outcome

*

Attend to post-tender queries, clarifications, and value engineering options

*

Assess and schedule cost-saving/value engineering solutions on an ongoing basis throughout the tender to ensure this information is available for use post submission

*

Attend tender interview meetings as required

*

Attend internal pre-contract meetings to hand over the project to the appointed management team

*

Measurement from drawings manually and electronically

Experience:

*

Ideally Degree qualified or other relevant qualification

*

Track record working for reputable construction companies

*

Experience working on a range of projects across multiple sectors £1M+

*

Able to take off from drawings
