Our client is a leading engineering and project services company who provide bespoke solutions across a number of marine related sectors. Due to growth they now require a Mechanical Technician to join their busy North East facility.
 
The Role
 
Work independently in the assembly and installation of equipment with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Sub-assembly, build and installation of project equipment.
Support of function testing, commissioning and FAT of project equipment, with the potential to operate equipment at various remote sites.
 
The Person
 
Time served from a recognised apprenticeship 
Prior experience of working in a heavy engineering environment on complex equipment 
Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Systems 
Certified to operate workshop plant and machinery (advantageous but not full requirement) 
Recognised certification for Working at Height (advantageous but not full requirement) 
IT Proficient (competent in basic use of Microsoft Office Applications)
