White Label is working with an established engineering and manufacturing business in Wakefield that require a Hydraulic Design Engineer to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering high-quality technical solutions across a wide portfolio of machinery.

My client is offering a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus:

* 33 days holiday plus your birthday off

* 37-hour work week (Monday to Thursday 8AM to 4:30PM and 8AM to 1PM on Friday.

Responsibilities of the Hydraulic Design Engineer

* Design and implement hydraulic systems bespoke machinery

* Create P&IDs, circuit diagrams, manufacturing, and control drawings

* Carry out hydraulic modelling and system analysis to meet client requirements

* Liaise with sales and customers to define technical specifications

* Conduct risk assessments, FMEA/FMECA and produce technical files

* Generate BOMs and import data into ERP systems

* Support planning and production teams with queries and improvements

* Liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal component selection

* Promote continuous improvement and mentor junior designers when required

Experience required of the Hydraulic Design Engineer

* Minimum HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

* Proficient in AutoCAD / Inventor and ideally ERP systems

* Strong experience in hydraulic system design and manufacturing drawings

* Experience in bespoke machinery would be desirable
