SEN Teaching Assistant in Handsworth

A remarkable Primary School are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a one-to-one basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a transformative change in this child who has additional needs of Autism. This is a full-time role starting in September 2024. Responsibilities:

- Support on a one-to-one basis and with IEP's
- Assist teacher in implementing differentiated lesson plans and educational activities
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teacher
- Prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special education needs
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs
