What you’ll be doing

The Risk Manager, supporting the Supplier Risk Team, a specialist function within the Global Purchasing group, will be responsible for monitoring the financial and operational stability of suppliers to this luxury automotive OEM. This high-profile role requires extensive experience of stakeholder engagement. Duties include:

* Manage relationships with key stakeholders, developing positive relationships, ensuring risk objectives are agreed and met.

* Lead existing governance forums in the Supplier Risk team.

* Develop and lead a high performing team, supported by robust training and development framework.

* Lead strategic supplier review meetings – providing financial support when requested including supplier site visits.

You will be degree qualified with experience in corporate insolvency or restructuring, including both legal and operational issues including:

* The ability to lead the response to supplier distress and insolvency, ensure that the OEM responds appropriately, with urgency, and cross functionality, to protect OEM production.

* Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills (both internal and external).

* Strong business acumen, a drive for results, a passion to succeed, personal initiative and influencing skills to manage the activities with a good level of independence.

* Adaptable to changing circumstances and environment, dealing with conflicting priorities for self and others.

A certificate of sponsorship is not available for this role. The role is hybrid and requires 2 days on site per week, which must include a Tuesday.
