Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Kensington (Static Role)
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday- 08:00-17:00

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for a multi skilled engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, based in the Kensington area of London. Working for an up and coming FM company, this role involves planned and reactive maintenance of building systems within a commercial setting.

This is a Monday-Friday position, ideal for a multi skilled engineer looking for a good work/life balance and good job security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial building systems.
• Performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety compliance.
• Resolving technical issues with HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems.
• Working closely with facilities teams and contractors to implement repairs and upgrades.
• Conducting risk assessments and adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
• Keeping comprehensive records of maintenance tasks, including schedules and logs.

Qualifications and Experience

For this role you will need to hold at least one of the below qualifications:

o 18th Edition qualification.
o Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating.
o F-Gas Certification for refrigerant handling (Category 1 preferred).
o C&G 2079 Refrigerant Handling Qualification or equivalent.

You will also need:

o At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC systems.
o Experience in building maintenance, especially in institutional settings like colleges or schools.
o Strong problem-solving ability and the capability to work independently.
o Excellent communication for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
