Are you an experienced technician with a background in Science, Design & Technology, or Art? Are you ready to make a real difference in schools across Northampton? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and skilled school technicians to join our growing network of support staff for the upcoming academic year starting in September.
We are working with a wide range of secondary schools and academies in Northamptonshire that are in need of enthusiastic and knowledgeable technicians to support their departments. Whether your expertise lies in preparing chemical solutions and maintaining lab equipment, setting up materials and machinery for design projects, or assisting in the smooth running of dynamic art rooms, we have exciting opportunities for you.
As a technician, your role will be crucial in ensuring that teachers and students are well-supported in delivering engaging and practical lessons. Responsibilities may include:
Preparing, maintaining, and storing equipment and resources
Supporting practical lessons and demonstrations
Ensuring health and safety compliance
Maintaining inventory and ordering stock
Collaborating with teaching staff to enhance learning experiences
Requirements:
Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable
Strong subject knowledge in Science, DT, or Art
Familiarity with health & safety procedures
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A proactive and reliable attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
