Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham
Pay: £95 - £110 per day
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Long-term temporary role with potential for a permanent position

The Role

We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils across KS3 and KS4 in secondary schools across Birmingham.

This is a broad, classroom-based role ideal for individuals looking for long-term, full-time work in education, supporting students academically and pastorally throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting pupils in lessons across a range of subjects

Working 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning

Assisting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour routines

Encouraging focus, engagement, and positive behaviour

Helping to create a calm, supportive learning environment

Who This Role Suits

Experience working with young people (school, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, etc.)

A patient, reliable, and proactive approach

Strong communication skills

An interest in working in education long term

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
