Contract Duration: 6+ Months (2 days remote, 1 day in the office)

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00

Pay Rate: £33.16 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of qualified occupational therapists and support staff, setting clear goals and expectations.

Oversee occupational therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and legislation.

Develop, implement, and monitor service improvement initiatives, policies, and procedures to enhance care quality and efficiency.

Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and community organisations to support adults with complex needs.

Identify opportunities for innovation and drive change management initiatives.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice across the service.

Ensure strategic initiatives are delivered efficiently and align with the Council’s objectives.

Person Specification

Must-Have Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Proven experience in a service manager or leadership role, managing teams and services effectively.

Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Commitment to continuous professional development.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

Previous experience in service transformation or change management.

Familiarity with integrated working across health and social care sectors.

Experience delivering strategic projects in a local government or public sector environment.
